These are hot process soaps made from all natural oils and butters that are gently heated and then mixed with a water & lye solution. The mixture goes through a natural, chemical process called saponification through which the mixture is converted into soap.
The mixture is poured into a mold, and then later unmolded, cut and left to cure for 2-5 weeks. At the end you have a lovely bar of fresh soap that also contains natural glycerin and leaves skin feeling soft. No lye remains in the final product as it is fully absorbed during the saponification process.
